MiniPlay is one of the apps that gets a chance, and the app works individually in Mac main window screen or Notification Center.

The app will display a small tiny window within the app you can play the music songs, skip the songs, or adjust the volume through music. This feature works both on Spotify and iTunes. You can keep this music play on the top, and you find the program runs as a normal window, or set hide those option through the player. If you want to see this function in main window course, then you can set right on the top corner that called Notification Center, where you can check it out. This proposed as a small utility and shows the big size of album picture and nice to recognize the album.
