Your Windows has plenty of built-in tools, especially when you see Run Dialog box comes that most used tool on Windows operating system and it gives a different kind of successful things that settings buried in Windows. If you talk about this tool, how powerful option naturally that you have to restrict the feature for some reason users may not use Run Dialog box. Let start with few steps that you can disable or enable the Run Dialog box.
While you can easily disable the Run Dialog box in Windows Registry Editor. Here are the few steps:
To disable the Run dialog box in Windows using Windows Registry Editor comes pretty clean. And you have to create a new registry value.
1. Go ahead with ”Win+R” and regedit and ”Enter” button.
Once you opened the Registry Editor, you can now move using a below-given key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
If any of key missing, For example: ”Policies” make right click on CurrentVersion and select to create a new key.
And now right-click on newly created Policies key, select New–> Key and Rename ”Explorer” and give ”Enter” button.
Once you created a new key, right-click on the empty space of panel and ”New” –> ”DWORD (32-bit) Value” to create DWORD value. That’s it.
After that, you have to create a new value ”NoRun”, and ”Enter” button. And double-click on the new value and type ”0” to ”1” and OK button to save changes to Windows Registry.
Once you have done the job, restart the computer. Whenever the new users are trying to open the Run Dialog box, the Windows will explore a new error message. It means the operation was canceled by the system administrator.
